January 7, 2017. Marginal Way in Ogunquit and The Cliff House in Wells.
Steve Reed, Leader, Judy Marden, Nancy Muir, Doug Boyd, & Dan Marquis
It was a cold day. The forecasted 30 degrees with partial sun never never materialized. We braved 15-20 degree temps, with a windchill well below that. Needless to say our faces froze.
But the ducks were good. We had very goods looks at the hoped-for Harlequins, as was as rafts of Black Scoters larger than we usually see… and they were in close to the cliffs.
Land birds were few and far between, but all in all it was a good day, ending with lunch at Famous Dave’s Barbecue in Scarborough.
