Sixteen people came to John Schott’s Preserve in Greene and enjoyed a nice walk with many birds. Baltimore Orioles seemed to outnumber everything, they were constantly around us. We had good warblers too, some fabulous looks, but to me the number of individual birds is just not what it once was. Four of 11 warbler species were only seen for one bird. Although Yellow Warblers, Yellow-throated Warblers, and Yellow-rumped Warblers were frequently seen. As were Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers.

We thank John and Pat for their hospitality and allowing us to roam his trails and paths. Always a great day.
