Papermill Trail on June 24

Written June 26, 2026 By Christine Murray

We had wonderful weather today in the low 70s and a nice walk along the Androscoggin River with ten people joining the group. We saw 47 species including a family of Eastern Bluebirds with three young chasing the adults who were busy foraging. At one point a Peregrine Falcon passed rapidly over us carrying what appeared to be a pigeon. Lots of Cedar Waxwings with one pair performing a courtship dance passing a Serviceberry fruit back and forth while hopping back and forth on a branch.
