Nancy grew up in the Lewiston/Auburn area. She enjoys the outdoors including snowshoeing, kayaking, hiking and camping. Nancy enjoys learning about Maine ecology and wildlife and sharing this with children. Nancy became involved with the Junior Naturalist Program when her daughter joined when she was a second grader and continued until sixth grade. Nancy has been a volunteer guide at Thorncrag leading many classes and scouting groups on hikes through the sanctuary instilling the importance of being stewards of our land at a young age. Junior Naturalists is such a fun way to introduce the children to their natural surroundings

Drew grew up in Lewiston and as a child spent countless hours in Thorncrag, which he often refers to his “second home”. Drew is an Eagle Scout and loves all things to do with nature. He is the owner of Mr. Drew and His Animals TOO!, an educational outreach program and rescue and loves to educate children and their families about animals and nature. Drew has over 100 animals in his care and also does foster care with his wife, having adopted three children, as well as raising their own.

Alan has been a volunteer for the Stanton Bird Club since 2006. He has helped monitor vernal pools, conduct field trips, and assist with stewardship. He has edited the Club newsletter, The Chickadee Chronicle, since 2008. He homeschooled his son for one year and volunteered in the Lisbon and Brunswick school systems. Alan completed the Maine Master Naturalist program in June, 2013.
