We had a nice walk, only slightly damp at the end. Six people came to the Cathance River Preserve, and as the saying goes, the best birds are often seen in the parking lot. Gordon Smith found an Olive-sided Flycatcher for all to see as we started. It looked like heavy rain was approaching but it passed us by and the walk proceeded. As promised, it was a most picturesque walk along the Cathance River but with relatively few birds. As we started back it began to rain lightly but being in the woods kept us mostly dry.
