Bird Photos Needed

Last November, eBird partnered with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Macaulay Library to bring direct photo upload to eBird. In one year, more than 35,000 eBirders have contributed in excess of 1.5 million photos, representing more than 8,250 species from 226 countries.

 

As they continue to expand the number of species available for automatic photo identification in Merlin, they need our photos! With 1,000 photos of a species, they can create highly accurate automated tools to identify bird photos. But they have fallen short for some species!
