Again we had a near perfect day for a bird walk. Twelve people met at
the Packard-Littlefield Farm in Lisbon. It was not too cool, it was very
sunny, and no wind. The birds were good too. We started off with some
frustration. As we crossed the road perhaps a hundred “sparrows” flew in
small continuing flocks and disappeared into trees and bushes. They went
from sun in our eyes to being in good sun except they were hidden by
leaves and pine needles. These were the sparrows in the list below. But
we also had hawks, a good variety, again see the list. However the
hi-light was a male Northern Harrier which made pass after pass low over
the fields. An Eastern Towhee and Brown Creeper were other special
sightings.

We especially want to thank Joe and Sue Daley for allowing us to walk
throughout their farm.
