Another great weather day, and some good birds too. We walked the fields of the Packard-Littlefield Farm in Lisbon. Six people came and as already noted the weather was great to be outdoors. The bird(s) of the day were perhaps the two Pileated Woodpeckers which flew low over us, but I liked the Golden-crowned Kinglet. Sparrows were good but we missed ones we expected … no White-crowned although Joan thought she might have had one which flew, and no Lincoln’s either. We had 29 birds:
Wild Turkey – 23 (or 25?), almost the first birds we saw
Turkey Vulture
Merlin – 1
Rock Pigeon
Belted kingfisher
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
Downy Woodpecker (H)
