This morning nine people walked Pineland Farms in New Gloucester. The
weather was not as nice as we hoped, while it was basically dry on the
way home we hit real rain for some time. The birds seemed promising in
the parking lot, at least 12 Eastern Bluebirds and perhaps 30 Chipping
Sparrows. We soon found our first of three Brown Creepers but only the
first was seen well. Another cooperative bird was an American Kestral
sitting in the open on a bare tree branch. Still the walk was very nice
if a tad cool without sun. We also watched a red Fox.
