Ten birders had a nice walk this morning on the Riverside Trail in
Lewiston. This trail runs along the river from Sunnyside Park to Tall
Pines Apartments for about a mile and a half one way, fully paved. The
weather was near perfect, no rain, no wind, no heat except enough to be
comfortable, no sun either. We had some very good birds but missed a
number too. We had Cedar Waxwings, two Great Crested Flycatchers, plus
two or three Mockingbirds. We saw a Bald Eagle perched. Warblers were
low, only five species. Total species seen was 41.
