Another great day for a walk. There was no sun, which is both good and
bad, and it was a bit sticky, but it really was a nice day for a walk.
Eleven people came to St. Peter’s Cemetery with an extension to Gulf
island Dam. The bird of the day almost had to be Eastern Kingbird …
they were everywhere. We estimated 35 but surely that was an undercount.
They were under the power lines and again, everywhere. We also saw a
male Scarlet Tanager, always nice to see. And the real bird of the day
was perhaps a Philadelphia Vireo. Seen well but briefly and I don’t
think everyone got to see it … or was it a Warbling Vireo?

All in all we had 49 species seen and heard (H):
