We had a nice walk this morning at the Woodbury Sanctuary in South Monmouth. Nine people attended including one who left early and two who
were late enough to only find us at the end! The weather was nice, but the bugs were thicker than we like. As is typical for summer the birds were
somewhat quiet although a Winter Wren sang repeatedly. We watched an Ovenbird go back and forth unhappy with our being there and we moved
on. All in all we had 38 species including those under the power lines at the entrance and on the walk down the dirt road to the closed bridge.
The sanctuary trails were  in very good shape. However there is a new home down the road and a clearing for one or two more. Hope the road
isn’t paved next time!
