This morning was a perfect time for a bird walk. Thirteen people showed
up at Fitzgerald’s Preserve in Brunswick for a great walk in ideal
weather. While we had an excellent selection of birds the hit was
probably the overflowing of large ripe blueberries. We did have a pair
of Indigo Buntings and two Baltimore Orioles both seen well but briefly.
Cedar Waxwings were in abundance, at least 10 and all seen well. We
never had good looks at Field Sparrows or Eastern Towhees but both sang
frequently.

The private pond, previously off limits, has been given to the town of
Brunswick and we walked around about half of it … much more water than
I realized was there. We did get the Kingfisher here but no ducks or
sandpipers (usually a Spotted is here). Gordon heard a Flycatcher, Alder
I think. Indigo Buntings were here and a number of Yellow Warblers.
